Vacuum or sweep for dust. Be sure to turn of roller brush on vacuums
When cleaning be sure to wring out mop completly. Too much water will damage floor. Don't use any harsh cleaners(a water and white vinegar mix works well)
Terrycloth mop or a swiffer(dry or wet-jet) is recommended for best results
Be sure to put felt pads or coasters on legs of chairs and furniture
Be careful when moving heavy items. Use cardboard or luan plywood to protect floor
Keep dog and cat nails trimmed on wood floors as it can scratch or dent more easily than Laminate
If humidity is a problem in your home, use a dehumidifyer to avoid swelling and expansion
Try to keep your home from extreme climate changes. If you are away, it may be a good idea to leave A/C or heat set to a reasonable setting
Keep some left-over materials for repairs in the future. You may be able to get the same wood, but the chance of getting the same dye-lot is slim. It's a good idea to keep materials flat and inside(under a bed is a good place)
